What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit websites.

Cookies we use

  • Necessary: Essential for website functionality
  • Analytics: Google Analytics 4 (cookies _ga and _ga_*, up to 2 years), loaded only if you accept analytics. It tells us which pages are visited and from where. Until you accept, Google receives nothing and sets no cookie.
  • Marketing: Used for personalized content

Visit counter without cookies

We also count visits with a small counter that uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device, so it runs whatever you choose in the banner. It records the page, the referring site, device type, browser, country and language. Your visit is told apart by a daily fingerprint of your IP address and browser that changes every day and is then deleted: the IP address itself is never stored. We cannot recognise you from one day to the next.

Managing cookies

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer of every page, or through your browser settings. Withdrawing analytics switches Google Analytics off and deletes its cookies.
